Frequently Asked Questions

  • What types of Japanese whisky do you offer?
We offer a diverse range of Japanese whiskies, including single malts, blends, and aged whiskies from various regions in Japan. Our collection features products from both renowned and lesser-known distilleries, ensuring a rich selection for every palate.

Additionally, our expert team is always ready to offer personalised recommendations based on your preferences. • Can I request a whisky that is not listed on your website?
We are always expanding our selection. If you have a specific whisky in mind, please contact us, and we will do our best to source it for you.
  • How do you ensure your whiskies are authentic?
We source our whiskies directly from distilleries and other trusted sources, and examine each bottle carefully for authenticity and quality before listing it on the website. If you have any doubts about the authenticity of a bottle you have received from us, please contact us immediately at orders@whiskyfromjapan.com with details of your concerns, and photos of the unopened bottle.
  • What condition will my bottle and packaging be in?
We stock a variety of whiskies ranging from recently released bottles through to rare and collectible aged whiskies that were produce over twenty years ago. As such, the condition of the associated packaging and labels can vary between bottles. We aim to take high quality images of the packaging so you can more easily examine the condition before purchase, and we will also highlight through the images or associated product notes where the condition is not as expected for the age.
  • How should I store my whisky?
Whisky should be stored upright in a cool, dark place to preserve its quality. You want the temperature to be cool but not too cold (as this can make the whisky cloudy or evaporate). The ideal temperature is between 15 to 20°C.
