This Miyagikyo Single Malt was released to commemorate the 100th wedding anniversary of Nikka's founder Masataka Taketsuru and his wife, Rita, who he married in Glasgow in January 1920.
 
This Miyagikyo has been finished in Apple Brandy barrels and was bottled in 2020. Apples are a strong symbol for Nikka and often associated with the relationship between Rita and Masataka, as he started his business activity with the production of apple juices and jams while awaiting the maturation of his first whisky.
 
Would make an excellent anniversary gift for a loved one. Particularly alongside it's partner bottle, the peatier Yoichi.
