Prologue K is the inaugural single malt release from the young Shizuoka distillery. The “K” stands for Karuizawa, as this whisky was distilled in one of the original Karuizawa stills that the Shizuoka team purchased from the famous, but now closed, Karuizawa distillery. The Shizuoka logo on the bottle and packaging represents the distinctive still shape in their distillery.
 
An excellent bottle from what was a very limited first release, so a great one to get your hands on with few making it outside of Japan.
